Credits are sold in $25 increments of 250,000, one credit per request. Credits you don't use in one period carry over for a year from purchase, so rounding up to the next $25 isn't lost.

Public list prices for the named products, checked September 29, 2026. Google, Mapbox, and HERE charge less at higher volumes, and Mapbox charges $5.00 per 1,000 for geocoding results you store. Geoapify's rate is its $59 API 10 plan spread over 300,000 one-credit requests a month. Check each price list for the operations your app needs.
Pay as you go
The 250,000 free requests reset every 30 days, counted from the moment you created your account. Unused free requests don't roll over. The dashboard's usage page shows when yours next reset. They are used before paid credits, and you don't need to buy credits to use them.
For more requests, buy as many credits as you need, with no monthly plan. Each credit pays for one request, and credits are sold in $25 increments of 250,000: $25 buys 250,000 credits, $50 buys 500,000, and so on. Stripe calculates any applicable tax at checkout and sends an invoice. Credits are shared across every API and expire one year after purchase. The earliest-expiring credits are used first. Purchases are nonrefundable.
Credits are added once Stripe confirms the payment, usually within a few minutes of checkout.
What counts as a request
A request counts once it completes:
- Searches count even when they find nothing.
- IP lookups count even when the address has no known location (
"found": false). - Routes with no path between the waypoints don't count.
- Invalid requests, including private or malformed IP addresses, don't count, and neither do requests that fail on our side.
A request that completed still counts if your connection drops before the response arrives. A retry is a new request, and it counts again if it completes. Every response carries an X-Request-Id, which matches the request's line in your usage export.
There's no per-minute rate limit. Each account can have a limited number of requests in progress at once; a request over that returns 429 and doesn't count. See the API reference for details.
